Sweet Potato and green peas vegetable fry
In this simple stir-fry recipe, sweet potato and green peas come together to create a sweet and spicy dish. Cooked in mustard oil with basic seasoning, this is a great dish to serve with flatbreads like paratha or as a side with rice and dal.

Heat oil in a pan on high.
When the oil just starts to smoke reduce the heat to medium and add asafoetida and mustard seeds.
When the seeds start to crackle, add green chilies and sweet potatoes. Mix well and cook for about 2 minutes.
Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well so that all the potatoes are coated with the spices. Cook for about 2 minutes.
. Mix well and cook for about 5 minutes till the potatoes are soft. They should break easily with the spoon.
Add chaat masala. Mix well and serve hot with
rice and dal
*I like the sharp flavor of mustard oil in this recipe, but you can use any other vegetable oil that you prefer.
